Just finished prepping for a Halloween party tomorrow at Rhyen's class. I was put in charge of doing a game. Hopefully, I don't disappoint Rhyen tomorrow. This is my first party with the class and I'm a little nervous. Wish I was one of those crafty moms who had all these great ideas. I took the game spin the bottle and gave it a Halloween twist. I think it will be OK, I'm pretty sure it will be, but I'm still nervous.
Tomorrow is Halloween and the kids are so excited.. I'm not even ready. I don't have anything ready to dress up as. I guess we will see what I can come up with tomorrow.. the kids really like when I dress up, so I will have to figure something out.
I can't wait to take the kids out trick or treating. Its so fun for me to watch them enjoy themselves, they get so excited. This will be Maddyn's second Halloween and she will actually be aware of what is going on this year, it'll be fun.

Chores become fun
Last night I was making the beds in Rhyen and Chloe's room. Its always a chore, trying to get beds made and coerce the girls to pick up their room while I was there to help them.
I have to admit I was on a roll, I wanted their room clean and i wasn't giving up easily. I've been pushing (begging and pleading) them to clean their room weekly to maintain it. Definitely not an easy battle with these two. Next thing I know I'm hearing laughter coming from under Rhyen's bed. I look down, at first extremely irritated, but then I saw four sets of little feet hanging out from under the bed. So that's when it began. I broke into laughter with little Maddyn right there in the midst of trouble with her bigger siblings. Its quite the sight to see little feet hanging out from under this bed, not too mention all the laughter coming from the kids. Only they know what was so funny. I pulled them out one by one by their feet and they would inch back up, learning first from Maddyn as she was the first one pulled out and tickled. She quickly inched back up to the safety of the bed. Needless to say only the beds got made, as cleaning time turned into playing time. It sure was fun though.

Today is one of those days when I can barely function. I'm so tired! I think my work schedule from this last weekend has finally gotten to me. I wish I could just sleep all day! Wouldn't it be nice if when the kids raided the kitchen they actually got something to eat rather than just junk food snacks. I think Caden and Chloe had about 4 each fruit roll ups during our quiet time today. Guess its just good its not chocolate.
We should be decorating for Halloween, but with the house such a mess and the kids less than willing to clean up their messes, i'm in no hurry this year. I should be better, but i'm not. I have a small amount of decorations up. The thought of cleaning it up just is overwhelming and makes me not even want to get it out.
I need to get a chore chart together for the kids, so we can get ourselves into a routine. Since i've cut back at work we haven't done that and we really need to. I think it would help everyone. Well its time to make dinner, so Maddyn and I are off to the kitchen to start it.
